Grape seed (vitis vinifera semen) powder is well known for its rich content of polyphenols, especially proanthocyanidins and oligomeric proanthocyanidins (OPC). It contains a unique combination of beneficial ingredients such as vitamin E, tannins, flavonoids, linoleic acid, resveratrol etc. The biological activity of these phytochemicals is mostly associated with their function as antioxidants.
