After a 2–1 victory in the first leg in Bern, Servette FCCF returns to the Stade de Genève for a second-leg final that promises to be historic. More than 5,000 spectators are expected to cheer on the Servette players as they chase a potential League and Cup double against reigning champions BSC Young Boys Frauen.
The moment has finally arrived. This Friday at 7:00 PM at the Stade de Genève, Servette FCCF will play the second leg of the AXA Women’s Super League final against BSC Young Boys Frauen. Following their 2–1 win in Bern in the first leg, the Geneva side is now just 90 minutes away from a historic League and Cup double.
And they will not be alone. More than 5,800 spectators are expected at the Stade de Genève to support the Garnets in what promises to be one of the biggest occasions in the club’s history. The South Stand was opened on Friday morning to accommodate even more Servette supporters. An exceptional atmosphere awaits Cristian Toro’s players for this decisive final.
In the first leg, Servette FCCF showcased all of its collective strength and character. Solid defensively, dominant in possession, and dangerous going forward, the Servette players made a major statement at the Wankdorf thanks to a brace from Therese Simonsson. However, a Bern penalty converted in the dying seconds of the match kept the suspense fully alive ahead of this second encounter.
Because standing in the way of the Geneva side is a Young Boys team that will not give up without a fight. As reigning champions, the Bernese squad has experience on the biggest stages and will look to overturn the deficit at the Stade de Genève. Servette FCCF has been warned: it will take a huge performance to secure the title.
But this Garnet side has already proven throughout the season that it can rise to the occasion when it matters most. Finishing first in the regular season, winning the Swiss Cup, and delivering an impressive performance against Zurich in the Playoff semi-finals, the team enters this final with confidence, personality, and ambition. Despite injuries, absences, and difficult moments, the Servette players have always found the resources to keep moving forward.
On Friday evening, an entire season will be on the line. A season of hard work, sacrifices, and emotions. A season that could end in the most beautiful way possible in front of the Geneva faithful.
The stage is set. The Stade de Genève will be ready. The Garnets will be too.
Everyone to the stadium to help push Servette FCCF toward the title!
