Veronica is an Italian elite open water swimmer specialising in long-distance events, competing at the highest international level for over a decade. Based in Rome and training daily with the dedication that defines her career, she has established herself as one of Italy's leading open water athletes—a European Championship medallist, World Cup gold medallist, and a specialist in the most demanding marathon swimming events on the planet.

Her career spans the full spectrum of open water competition, from the technical precision of 5 km and 10 km championship races to the raw endurance required for the iconic 57 km Santa Fe–Coronda crossing in Argentina and the historic 36 km Capri–Napoli race in Italy.
