SERVETTE FCCF IN KAZAKHSTAN

The serious business begins for the Servettiennes as they travel to Kazakhstan for the UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifying round.

Servette FCCF have made the long journey to Aktobe, Kazakhstan, to take part in a UEFA Women’s Champions League qualifying mini-tournament. In the semi-final, the Grenat will face Dinamo Minsk on Tuesday morning at 9:00 a.m. Swiss time.

Should they qualify, Cristian Toro’s side will face the winners of the other semi-final between Icelandic favourites Breidablik and hosts FK Aktobe. The winner of the tournament will earn the right to compete in the final qualifying play-off for a place in the prestigious UEFA Women’s Champions League league phase.

With eleven new signings, Servette FCCF are looking to immediately showcase their ambitions in this qualifying tournament, ahead of their return to domestic action on August 15 at Stade des Trois-Chêne, when they open their Super League campaign against Aarau.
