Against Aarau, the Grenat went into the match as clear favourites — a status they lived up to from the very first minutes. Cristian Toro’s side immediately took control, creating several excellent chances and hitting the woodwork on multiple occasions.
It was eventually Terchoun, making her first start and scoring her first goal in Grenat colours, who found the back of the net. The new Servette forward deflected a clearance from the Aargau goalkeeper into the goal. With the momentum on her side, Meriame Terchoun then set up Sobal to make it 2-0 just before half-time.
The reigning Swiss champions left their opponents no room to breathe after the break. They even put the result beyond doubt shortly after the hour mark. Meriame Terchoun once again made the difference, beating three Aargau players before setting up Da Eira.
A successful start to the Super League campaign for the Grenat, who will travel to Wankdorf this Friday, August 21, to face YB!
